There’s nothing like starting a new year with a
different approach to all sorts of things.
I ask myself, what can I do to give it a fresh
perspective? Look back at the previous
year. Did I accomplish then what I hoped to
to achieve?
What I do, as it is, takes imagination. Characters
who must come off the page. A story line that keeps
the reader glued to the story.
We make up stories as kids about all sorts of things.
Hoping our parents might go along with it. When they
know we’re trying to ‘pull the wool over their eyes,’
as the old expression goes.
Writer’s comment: Looking back, I’m damn sure
pulling that kind of stuff never worked. And I was
not smart enough to realize it.
